STATA

is statistical application used primarily by researchers in the behavioral sciences, health sciences, and social sciences. LUC has a site license for STATA/SE - the standard edition of STATA - which is appropriate for mid-sized datasets. It allows analysis of datasets with up to 32,767 variables and up to 2.14 billion observations. Independent variables are limited to 10,998.

 Options for off-campus use

Option Availability
Personal Computer Installation via the LUC License STATA/SE is available to all faculty and students. Staff engaged in academic research also qualify for an install on a personal computer. Complete the ITS Service Desk  to request home use.
Remote Access - Apporto Available on Apporto.
Remote Access - VPN Available via remote connection to LUC desktop.

Instructions for accessing and completing the ITS Service Desk's STATA/SE Home Use Self-Service Request (SSR)

  • Select the button
  • Log in using your LUC uvid and password.
  • Complete all fields in the Self-Service Request.
  • Submit the request.
