草莓社区's Yellow Ribbon Policy:
The Yellow Ribbon Program at 草莓社区 provides additional funding to students who are 100% eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill when their tuition and fees exceed the VA's private school annual cap. Students (other than medical students) who are 100% eligible for the Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill will be automatically enrolled in the Yellow Ribbon Program and will have it applied as needed.
Beginning August 1, 2023, Loyola increased its Yellow Ribbon funding to fully cover mandatory tuition and fees for all programs, with the exception of those in the MD Stitch School of Medicine program.
Students at the Stritch School of Medicine who are eligible for the Chapter 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill benefit at the 100% level may receive Yellow Ribbon Program funds on a first-come, first-served basis. GI Bill eligibility is determined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Under 草莓社区 SSOM’s Yellow Ribbon agreement, up to four (4) eligible students per academic year may receive an annual maximum of $20,000 each in Yellow Ribbon funding.
To secure an available Yellow Ribbon spot, a student must:

- Submit a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) confirming 100% Chapter 33 benefit eligibility to the ; and
- Complete the VA-Request for Enrollment Certification (VA-REC) form and upload to the , for the first semester you wish you utilize VA benefits. This form must be submitted for each subsequent semester by no later than 30 days after the start of the semester to maintain Yellow Ribbon eligibility.
Once all requirements above are met, the student will be considered for an available Yellow Ribbon slot. If a slot is open at that time, the student will receive the Yellow Ribbon match from both SSOM and the VA. The student is only eligible for the SSOM match if VA provides Yellow Ribbon funding under their eligibility requirements.
An eligible student who secures a Yellow Ribbon slot will retain it until completion of the medical program or until they no longer meet eligibility requirements, whichever occurs first.
If no Yellow Ribbon slots are available when a student meets all eligibility requirements, the student will be placed on the SSOM Yellow Ribbon waitlist in the order in which they completed both university and VA requirements. Waitlisted students will be moved to the recipient list in order based on the earliest date they met all requirements, beginning with the first full academic term after a Yellow Ribbon spot becomes available.
Students interested in and eligible for SSOM Yellow Ribbon Program funding may direct availability inquiries to Veterans@luc.edu.
