| Description: |
The student will actively participate in Allergy/Immunology clinic by taking detailed histories and performing physical examinations. Students will see both new and return patients in clinic. Students are encouraged to read around topics seen in clinical scenarios and will provide a small informal discussion about a topic of their choice at the end of the two weeks. They will be expected to be in 5 half clinics per week with the Attending, at Loyola and Hines. No weekends on this rotation. The remainder of time will be spent on self-directed learning/reading. Students will have the opportunity to also observe the Allergy RN's performing percutaneous skin testing, intradermal testing, and patch testing as these come up in clinic. |

Students will be evaluated by the attending who supervises them during the rotation. This elective is graded Pass/Fail. |
