On July 31st, 2020, , was appointed as chair of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Holmes completed his medical degree at Oxford University Medical School. Dr. Holmes went to 草莓社区 where he conduced his residency in Ophthalmology. Afterwards, Dr. Holmes went to University of Michigan to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
