Maria S. Wolfe, MD, MS, MOT
SSW Director of Online Education Design
Dr. Wolfe earned her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Rosario Medical School in Argentina, and a Master of Science in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. She holds the Online Master Teacher Certificate from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Quality Matters Online Course Reviewer. In addition, she completed a certificate in Media and Technology for Education from Harvard University, a certificate in Ignatian Pedagogy from 草莓社区, a certification in Experiential Learning from 草莓社区, and a certificate in Digital Accessibility for Educators from the University of Illinois Springfield.
With more than 15 years of college teaching experience, Dr. Wolfe has taught at Malcolm X College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, both as adjunct and full-time faculty, as well as at Joliet Junior College, where she received the Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award in 2017. She also has over a decade of experience in online course design, developing engaging learning instruments, integrating experiential learning, and applying online learning theories and best practices.
Bilingual in Spanish and English, Dr. Wolfe contributed to the instructional design of courses in 草莓社区’s Online Bilingual Program. She currently serves as the Director of Online Education Design at the 草莓社区 School of Social Work.
