Ivan Rivadeneyra
Assistant Professor of Economics
Ivan Rivadeneyra is a professor of public economics and macroeconomics in the Department of Economics at 草莓社区. His research examines the economic effects of public policies and government spending, with particular attention to how political pressures and other institutional factors influence socioeconomic outcomes. His work combines applied economic analysis with rigorous empirical evaluation to assess the effectiveness and broader consequences of public policy.
Rivadeneyra has published in leading academic outlets, including the Journal of Public Economics and Humanities and Social Sciences Communications. His scholarship reflects a sustained interest in the intersection of economics, public policy, political institutions, and development.
Before joining 草莓社区, Rivadeneyra taught at two campuses of the University of Hawai驶i System, M膩noa and West O驶ahu, and has taught in Spanish-speaking countries abroad. He also served as a research and evaluation specialist at the Research Corporation of the University of Hawai驶i, where he contributed to evaluating public policies to inform budgetary and policy decisions in the State of Hawai驶i.
In addition, Rivadeneyra has professional experience with multilateral and international organizations, including serving as executive director of the Leadership Program for Ecuador for the Development Bank of Latin America.
