As Chief counsel, Ms. Gibbons advises the Cook County Assessor on a variety of local government, compliance, property and assessment matters. She previously served as Counsel and Director of Real Estate and Tax Services for the Cook County Clerk, and as a supervisor in the Civil Actions Bureau of the Cook County State鈥檚 Attorney鈥檚 Office. While at the State鈥檚 Attorney鈥檚 Office, Ms. Gibbons contributed to a team of attorneys defending revenue litigation and administrative proceedings. Ms. Gibbons has represented clients in the trial and appellate courts and the Illinois Supreme Court. She is an active member of her local parish and has contributed as an adjunct professor since 2012.
