Dr. Russell Ford joined the Forensic Science program as a lecturer in the Fall 2025 semester. Prior to working at Loyola, Russell was a Senior Forensic Chemist with the Drug Enforcement Administration. He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry at UIC. His studies continued there, where he earned his PhD in synthetic organic chemistry as a part of the Driver Group. Before embarking on his academic pursuits, Russell served in the US Navy for six years, four years of which were onboard the USS Carl Vinson.
Dr. Ford started teaching full time in Fall 2025 in FRSC 360/361 and CHEM 240. We look forward to his future at Loyola!
