Patrice Leverett

Associate Professor


Dr. Patrice Leverett is an Associate Professor in the school psychology program at 草莓社区. She conducts research on the impact of implicit bias on school-based decision-making, particularly pertaining to discipline practices. She conducts program evaluations pertaining to equitable training practices and the support of a socially just learning culture. Dr.鈥疞everett鈥痠s committed to the well-being of the whole student and reflects those beliefs in her work as a mentor and educator. Her teaching interests include consultation, assessment, crisis management, and culturally responsive practice. Her research is a product of community partnerships for symbiotic success. Patrice鈥疞everett鈥痳eceived her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in educational psychology. Prior to completing this degree, Dr.鈥疞everett鈥痵erved as a public-school special education teacher and as a school psychologist. She completed her M.S. in education at Queens College of New York and her B.A. at the University of Pittsburgh.鈥疍r.鈥疞everett鈥痠s the sub-committee chair for the National Association of School Psychologist Graduate Education Committee - Equity and Justice committee and is on the Division 16 APA convention chair committee.
