A Zoom conference hosted by a partnership of national Academic Centers on the public role of religion in democratic life. Various panel topics include reflections on experiences of "democratic’" institutions across American Catholic communities; the challenge of Catholic preaching amid polarization and unreliable cyber rhetoric; voting rights, immigrant communities, and the increased challenges of voter safety; and presentations of practical strategies that cultivate community and protect democracy. This conference will have dialogical and interactive elements for attendees—grounded in Spirit and in service to society and the Church.
